Department of Logistics and Infrastructure View all jobs Technical 5 (Remuneration Package Range: $118,753 - $129,126) Infrastructure Repairs and Maintenance Ongoing vacancy in Palmerston, NT The Maintenance Branch is responsible for the delivery of the Northern Territory Government (NTG) Urgent Repairs and Cyclical Maintenance program in the Darwin Region on behalf of agencies; including managing period and panel contracts for maintaining building assets, and the emergency and disaster management response for built infrastructure in the northern region. There are four trade-based teams (Building, Mechanical, Electrical, and Hydraulic), who manage period contracts and provide trade-related advice and resources to support the Infrastructure Delivery branch with project delivery of Capital, Minor, and Specific Maintenance projects as and when required. The Project Manager – Hydraulics (Plumbing) is responsible for the delivery of assigned Capital Works, Minor Works, and Maintenance projects for NTG agencies in the Darwin Region, and provides technical and project management advice and assistance in relation to projects and contracts being managed. Assigned projects may vary significantly in their scope, size, and complexity, and are managed concurrently. The successful applicant will need a Hydraulics (Plumbing) trade qualification, experience directly related to the position, and a current NT Plumbers and Drainers Advance Tradesman licence or Journeyman licence (minimum 10 years), or the ability to quickly obtain the licence. They will also need strong current technical knowledge and extensive experience in the Construction Code relevant to the Hydraulics (Plumbing) trade, and substantial knowledge and experience in building project and contract management.
