Project Manager - Precinct Utility Integration Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer, and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth’s Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible for designing, constructing, and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities. ANI has an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join its Development team in the Adelaide city office. In this role, you will manage utility relocations in the Osborne Precinct, focusing on gas utilities, while supporting electrical utilities and providing a general Precinct design and construction integration and coordination role. Your key responsibilities will include: Planning, designing, and delivering a range of projects, ensuring the deliverable objectives and constraints of safety, time, cost, risk, and quality are achieved; effectively managing, reporting on, and escalating issues to ensure timelines are met. Administering utilities design and construction contracts, for SEAGas and Epic Energy works, to ensure construction and industry standards are maintained and comply with relevant legislation and organisational policies and procedures. Designing and construction sequencing and staging of utility relocations with respect to each utility and other ANI design and construction projects and works. Precinct-wide integration and coordination role for utilities relocations, utility augmentation, and other Precinct works to be carried out by ANI and third parties. Developing strong relationships and working collaboratively across client, internal, and external networks to achieve sustainable outcomes. Managing negotiations with a strong grasp of the key issues, including relevant stakeholders. Leading and managing project delivery cost reviews and program reviews and providing regular and ad hoc reports including schedule management, cost, quality, risk management, and coordination of utility and contractor input against agreed and established baselines. This role will suit a person with experience in a similar role in a heavy industrial environment, such as large and/or multiple projects or programs of works in the oil and gas, mining, or energy sectors, with relevant qualifications in engineering, project, or construction management. Experience in design and construction management, coordination, and interface management will be highly regarded. You will have sound written and verbal communication skills required to approach briefings and negotiations with a strong grasp of the key issues and anticipating stakeholders’ expectations and concerns. You will need to be a team player, flexible to undertake a range of tasks and to adapt as ANI continues to grow and develop its nuclear mindset.
