As Project Manager within the building project team, you will manage building/property improvement and redevelopment works in collaboration with Council staff, consultants, and contractors.You are also required to procure consultants and contractors in accordance with Council’s procurement policy and monitor and report on all projects against timelines, budgets, and other Council objectives. Additionally, you will manage project-related correspondence and public inquiries and ensure building/property improvement and redevelopment works are provided in a timely, professional, and cost-effective manner, having regard to relevant legislation and standards determined by Council. This is a permanent full-time position with an annual salary range of $95,013 - $102,899 per annum + 11.5% superannuation and an accrued day off each month. This is a hybrid role which means you can work both within the office based at 311 Glenferrie Road and from home with a minimum of three days within the office.You are based within our bright, modern, and sustainable 311 Glenferrie Road office on the corner of High Street and Glenferrie Road in Malvern where boutique stores, cafes, and health clubs are in abundance. As a permanent employee, you also get access to our wellbeing program, employee assistance counselling program and receive 17.5% additional pay when on annual leave. Desired Skills and Experience To thrive in this role you have: A tertiary qualification in Building, Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management and more than three years’ experience in the management of building projects, or a lesser formal qualification in a related discipline with extensive experience in the management of building projects Highly developed knowledge in building design, construction, and project management Excellent negotiation skills to obtain cooperation from the community, Councillors, stakeholder groups, contractors and consultants to achieve Council's construction services objectives Working knowledge of Building Codes and Practices, OH&S Legislation, and Heritage Conservation requirements Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and web-based tools A current Victorian driver’s licence Join Stonnington today.
