Award/Classification: Tasmanian State Service Award - General Stream Band 7 Salary: $129,302.00 to $136,089.00 per annum Employment Type: Permanent, full-time Region: South Macquarie Point is a major urban renewal project for the City of Hobart. As a senior member of the Corporation, you will develop and deliver Capital Works projects that meet client needs and provide value to the Corporation. Macquarie Point Development Corporation is a statutory authority and state agency, responsible for planning, facilitating, and managing the remediation, reuse, and long-term development of Macquarie Point. The Corporation is governed by the Macquarie Point Development Corporation Act 2012 , overseen by a Board comprising the Chairperson, CEO, and directors appointed by the Governor on the recommendation of the Minister. Duties Manage all phases of a range of Capital Works projects, including project initiation, consultant management, document review, tender assessment, and budget management in accordance with industry standards and quality assurance principles. Develop and maintain organisational standards of competency for the Program Manager, Capital Works to effectively manage and assure the actions of consultants and contractors. Monitor and ensure compliance with Treasury procurement guidelines. Synthesize corporate and service delivery planning to develop and deliver optimum accommodation solutions across all asset categories. Contribute to the continuous improvement of policies and processes guiding all phases of the asset management lifecycle. Provide high-level specialist advice to the Executive Team in asset, contract, and project management. Contribute strategically to asset planning across the Macquarie Point site, focusing on project delivery including:a. Site Infrastructure.b. Land Development.c. Capital Works Project Development;d. Capital Works Project Implementation. Undertake special projects as required by the Corporation. Represent the Corporation in various forums, undertaking high-level liaison, negotiation, consultation, and contract management with government agencies, contractors, and private sector stakeholders. Actively participate in the organisation’s Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including the development and implementation of safety systems and related training. Minimum Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in development, project management, or a related discipline and/or demonstrated experience in capital works delivery and project management are required.
