Posted: 20/02/2025 scouted. is excited to partner with this Melbourne based Residential Property Developer, who is quietly but confidently building their portfolio of Projects across various Asset Classes within the Residential space; with current Developments ranging from inner and outer suburb Townhouses, Retirement Living Communities (not to be confused with Aged Care) and Serviced Apartments. Growing their presence in the Melbourne market for over a decade now, this group has strong financial backing and will be a Property Group to watch in the years to come. Seeing a gap in their current Development Team, they would like to bring on board an experienced Project Manager who has solid foundations working in the Residential Development space. With the plan to grow this position across the full cycle of development and transition the role's responsibilities into an all encompassing Development Manager position, once appropriate. The one non-negotiable for this role is that the successful Candidate must be able to speak Mandarin, to ensure they can communicate effectively with Senior Leaders and Business Investors. Your responsibilities: Although this role has the PM title initially, you will be working alongside and supporting an experienced and accomplished Senior Development Manager across a range of different projects. You will gain full exposure and mentorship across all stages of the development cycle; acquisition, feasibility, design, construction, delivery, and marketing; with your responsibilities including but not limited to the following: Assist with due diligence activities for new project acquisitions including assisting in formulating financial feasibility models Liaise with Council/Town planning to support the preparation and lodgement of project planning approvals Engage a team of consultants to deliver all outcomes necessary to produce high-quality developments ie. manage construction programme and contract management/cost administration Monitoring all aspects of the development design process from creating design briefs, assisting with design process and supporting value management across all project assets Facilitate and build strong relationships both internally and externally that aid to grow internal company culture as well as external branding About you: University qualifications in Property related discipline such as Bachelor in Property & Construction, Engineering or Architecture Track record and solid experience residential property development, ideally as a Project Manager or Development Manager Strong and persuasive communication skills, outgoing personality, a thoroughness for and attention to detail, as well as the ability to be innovative in problem-solving without the need for micro management Team player oriented is a Number 1 Priority - Collaboration is key!
