Opportunity to break into government role Temporary role but extension could be offered to the right person The Opportunity Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for your next opportunity in Rockhampton? We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee building project implementation from pre-design to post-construction, ensuring high-quality project delivery that meets client expectations. Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of building project implementation, including design, documentation, contract administration, and post-construction activities. Coordinate teams , including project staff, consultants, contractors, and business units, to achieve project objectives. Provide expert contract coordination , working with both traditional and non-traditional contract systems. Ensure project success by meeting client scope, time, cost, and quality requirements while maintaining QBuild profitability. Lead negotiations with consultants, stakeholders, authorities, and contractors to deliver value-for-money solutions. Monitor project performance , control variances, and generate exception reports to keep projects on track. Assist senior leadership in determining service fees and managing client billing approvals. Uphold quality assurance procedures and mentor a team of Project Managers and staff. Proactively manage team performance and professional conduct. About You: Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. Experience managing large-scale building projects from conception to completion. Ability to drive contract administration and financial oversight. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proven ability to lead and mentor teams.
