Zinfra partners with companies across the utility and infrastructure sectors to deliver maintenance, operations, engineering, and construction services. For our partners, our work is crucial to maintaining the safety and reliability of their electricity and gas transmission and distribution assets. About the role: We are seeking a new Project Manager to join the team delivering critical energy infrastructure projects focused on substation construction. This role will oversee the management of the delivery teams to contribute towards the safe, cost-effective, quality provision of service of construction meeting our client’s requirements, KPIs, and financial targets of the project(s). Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will be managing substation projects typically ranging from $1M - $50M whilst working closely with a team of construction managers, project engineers, crew leaders, technical and support staff. You will have involvement in full project lifecycles from tender stage through to delivery and testing and commissioning. Your responsibilities will include: Driving health and safety, scheduling, resource management, internal & external stakeholder management, commercial/risk, budget and overall delivery of projects; Supporting and developing the team to enhance employee engagement, increasing workforce mobility, driving individual and team performance, and ensuring attraction and retention of talent; Ensuring the delivery team's contribution towards financial targets are aligned with business strategy; Managing and supervising the site-based delivery of projects. Attendance on site as required to meet the demands and achieve a successful outcome on the project; Liaising with various client groups, Government Authorities, utility companies and contractors in issues affecting the maintenance, construction, risk mitigation and improvement of client assets e.g. Councils, Developers, Consultants. About you: To be included on the shortlist your profile will need to demonstrate that you hold trade or engineering qualification with a diploma or Cert IV in Project Management is desirable. You should be safety-focused with extensive project management experience and demonstrated successful outcomes in the delivery of substation projects. Extensive experience managing engineering, procurement and construction teams with a strong ability to lead, drive, and motivate contractors and consultants to achieve program milestones in addition to demonstrated commercial and financial acumen.
