Job Description

Our Lady Loretta Mine has an opening for an experienced PROJECT MANAGER. The Project Manager is responsible for achieving project objectives and targets to ensure the successful completion of the project. This includes conducting project planning, managing and resourcing the project, ensuring the health, safety, training, environmental and quality systems are successfully complied with, contract administration, the administration of cost control systems, managing the commercial interests of the project, tracking project deliverables and providing overall leadership and direction to the project team. Duties & Responsibilities Strictly adhere to Redpath’s Philosophy, Guidelines for Success, Code of Conduct and Cardinal Rules; Provide clear coordination of resources and activities to ensure achievement of Project objectives; Continually monitor the Site Health, Safety, Training, Environmental and Quality systems and ensure that the systems are complied with; Lead the Project to achieve the project objectives and targets, ensuring the successful completion of the project; Plan, coordinate, carry out and review all Project activity to achieve the Client's desired project outcomes; Pro-actively lead the project team in the understanding and compliance of the Project Integrated Management Plan system; Manage operating plans detailing Project documentation, administration, financial, commercial and HR processes; Manage project budget and administer the cost control systems; Ensure the contract administration is of a high standard and Redpath's commercial interests are looked after; Identify, formulate and obtain approval of procedures required for Project specific tasks in a timely manner; Ensure all the Project team receive required training; Coordinate and assist project management staff to have appropriate resourcing of personnel and equipment; manage project resource allocation; Lead the project team clearly and professionally ensuring that each individual team member has an understanding of their daily, weekly and monthly tasks; Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders; Continually communicate and liaise with the Client’s Representatives to ensure understanding of the Client's needs and points of view; Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs; Apply performance management to all employees ensuring the performance reviews are undertaken at least annually and poor performance/behaviour is dealt with promptly; Develop and maintain a climate of 'innovation' where all employees can challenge work methods to improve safety, productivity and profitability; Ensure MARS is used as the primary production statistic database; Ensure timely and accurate submissions, approvals and payments of the monthly claim; Ensure timely and accurate analysis and reporting on financial and production results on a monthly basis; Conduct Workplace Inspections (eg Take 5's/TTTCs) and JSA's when required; About you: Minimum 2 years project management experience; Current First Aid & CPR certificate (HLTFA301B - Apply Basic First Aid, HLTFA201A - Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, HLTCPR201A - Perform CPR); Current RIIRIS301B- Apply risk management processes; RIIOHS301A Conduct safety and health investigations; & RIICOM302A - Communicate workplace information certificates (formerly S1, S2 & S3); Current RIIRIS402A Carry out the risk management processes (formerly G2); Current G1 Safety Induction - Metalliferous Core & Underground; Hold current Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) qualifications; Solid commercial skills and experience in managing budgets, costs and resource management; Outstanding people management and leadership skills in a large project environment; Outstanding customer relations management skills; Superior problem solving and adaptability; Strong computer skills including advanced Microsoft Word and Excel; Strong interpersonal, leadership, conflict resolution and team skills; A safety attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto Safety - First, Last and Always.
