Fixed term: 30 June 2025 Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available) Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available) The Role DJSIR is seeking to appoint a Project Officer within the Tourism and Events Branch to manage the Business Events Program and assist with the administration of the Major Events Program. Working within a small team, the Project Officer will report to the Manager, Events and is required to manage a number of responsibilities in a high-pressure environment. Key activities include: Working closely with external stakeholders to secure high value business events for Victoria. Drafting major event cabinet submissions and ministerial briefs. Managing grant agreements and undertaking a range of administrative, project and policy delivery activities. The Team The position of Project Officer forms a part of the Tourism and Events (T&E) branch and sits within the Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) group. Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) is comprised of Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV) and Tourism and Events (T&E). SRV aims to create greater sport and active recreation participation opportunities for all Victorians to maximise economic, social and health benefits and enhance Victoria's liveability. T&E is responsible for strengthening the profile of tourism and events across government and influencing strategic reforms and economic outcomes for the sector. About You To be successful in the role, you will need excellent project and financial management skills, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and high quality written and verbal communication skills.
