Contribute to the development and delivery of infrastructure projects to transform the NSW energy system into one that is affordable, clean, and reliable for everyone. Sydney or Newcastle location Hybrid working from home and office supported Salary range from $110,266 to $122,058 plus super and leave loading EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure. A recruitment pool may be created for ongoing and temporary opportunities for the same role type that may become available over the next 18 months. About the Opportunity Be part of a once-in-a-generation project for EnergyCo and join the Hunter Transmission Project team to support the development of one of NSW’s critical energy infrastructure projects, a new 100km high voltage transmission line to be constructed in the Hunter Region. In this role, you will coordinate approval and governance activities and track milestones while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams within EnergyCo and across Government. You will provide essential administrative support, draft and review reports, coordinate procurement activities, and contribute to feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses. About You You are passionate about helping deliver NSW renewable energy targets and are excited about the state’s transition to a net zero future. You have broad experience in project coordination and ideally have a background in project management, engineering, finance, construction, or similar. You are a proactive and solutions-oriented professional with a flexible mindset, able to adapt to change. With excellent written and verbal communication skills, you confidently engage with government and industry stakeholders and provide timely, accurate advice to colleagues. Your experience in general administration, including financial management, enhances your ability to support projects efficiently. You take initiative in identifying and implementing business improvement and your collaborative approach enables you to support project leaders and balance competing priorities. Experience in infrastructure project delivery and government procurement is highly regarded but not essential. Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience. Who we are? The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy. EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW). EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage, and network infrastructure projects.
