Apply now Job no: 504555Work type: Contract Full TimeLocation: VariousCategories: Administration/Support, Accounting/Finance/Business, Projects, Strategy & Planning Melbourne or Adelaide Location Contract for 12 months Base $96K - $117K (commensurate with experience) ABC International Development (ABCID) is looking for a senior Project Officer to join its team to provide finance, contracting, human resources and administration support to the International Development unit and its projects across the Indo-Pacific region. The role will work with a team based across Australia and the region, under the supervision of the Senior Finance Manager. You will be responsible for supporting leadership to meet contractual and unit obligations relating to general business and business development, including budget management (developing project budgets, acquittals and forecasts), compliance and policy adherence, risk management, contracting, and managing a schedule of key ABC and donor requirements. You'll provide analytical and administrative support to ID projects and unit, as well as reports to stakeholders at all levels of the Strategy Division and external donors. Nurturing strategic working relationships, stakeholder liaison, preparing reports and workplans, and juggling multiple priorities and timelines are key parts of the role. Ideally, you would have worked in similar roles in international development or have comparable community or government experience. Demonstrating a diversity of perspectives and cultural knowledge is highly desirable such as Indigenous Australian and Torres Strait Islander and/or Indo-Pacific lived experience or heritage, and/or disability lived experience. About You We are seeking well organised, flexible, and enthusiastic relationship builders with high-level administrative and accounts experience, coupled with excellent computer literacy skills in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP (Finance). You will be able to demonstrate: Excellent communication skills with extensive written and verbal skills. Extensive analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving skills. High level ability to identify, develop and implement business improvement measures, and to effect and embed change. Experience in contracting, budgeting, forecasting as well as management reporting. Understanding of public sector governance, policies and risk management.
