THE ROLE As a Project Officer within the Maintenance Assurance and Property Condition team, you are responsible for the identification of maintenance items across Homes Victoria's extensive asset portfolio and ensuring compliance of Homes Victoria maintenance contracts. The primary function of the role involves the assessment of property condition for existing and newly acquired properties for high priority programs including the High-rise Redevelopment Program. A high standard of building/trade knowledge, project coordination, computer literacy, and contract acumen are required to adequately investigate and report on cost, quality, timeliness, and adherence to contract terms and building code. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE: Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security, and privacy policies and requirements. Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures. Identify and report on property condition through desktop and on-site property inspections, initiate necessary maintenance works through Homes Victoria contractors, and track works to completion.
