About This Opportunity The Project Officer – Medical Pathways will be dedicated to supporting the delivery of the Medical Pathways in the Central Queensland - Wide Bay (CQ-WB) and Darling Downs – South West (DD-SW) regions. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Projects (Medical Pathways), the role will offer administrative and engagement support to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the projects across the two regions. Key responsibilities will include: Project Support Responsibilities: Supporting aspects of the project-delivery cycle, including planning, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation to support the successful completion of projects. Project Administration: Coordinating and supporting the development of project-related documentation and other materials including (but not limited to): project plans; scoping documents; evaluation documents; project reporting templates; project updates and other communication materials; post-project reporting; calendars/diaries; meeting minutes; electronic newsletters; website updates. Stakeholder Engagement and Communications: Communicating information accurately to diverse stakeholders using a range of mediums. Exercising diplomacy and judgement when liaising with a range of key stakeholders, including (but not limited to) senior academic and professional staff; representatives of peak government and non-government bodies; industry partners; donors; alumni; project participants; students. This is a full-time (100%), fixed-term position through to 31st December 2024. At HEW level 6, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $84,871 to $91,158 plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $99,300 to $106,655 annually. About You We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and multi-talented Project Officer to support the implementation phase of the Medical Pathways in CQ-WB and DD-SW regions. As the Project Officer, you will coordinate and support a wide range of activities to achieve project outcomes, including meetings, events, marketing and communications activities and engagement opportunities. You will be working as part of a small high-performing team in an environment with opportunities for professional development and growth. The role requires a person capable of delivering outcomes within a multi-dimensional, fast-paced and challenging operational environment. Selection Criteria Demonstrated experience in project governance and administration processes. Ability to establish effective relationships, work collaboratively with colleagues and to represent and promote the interests of the University to other academic units and a range of external stakeholders. Demonstrates an understanding of rural communities and has worked and lived in a rural community. Demonstrated high-level organisational ability, attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines and managing competing priorities. Demonstrated high-level communication skills, including excellent interpersonal skills. Experience using MS Office and electronic newsletter applications would be advantageous, or a proven ability to quickly adapt to new project management software. Ability to live and work in Toowoomba.
