What are you going to do Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage the subcontract and procurement strategy. Oversee package enquiries, evaluation, award, administration, and closeout. Monitor project developments and intervene as needed. Project Procurement & Subcontracting: Align procurement activities with project policies, procedures, and schedules. Supervise buyers and subcontract specialists. Ensure supplier pre-qualification and client notification. Develop subcontract and procurement plans, allocate budgets, and ensure alignment. Manage local content requirements and contribute to project reporting. Package Award & Administration: Prepare ITT packages with QHSE documentation. Negotiate terms, select bidders, and conduct commercial evaluations. Manage RFQs, instructions, variations, and delivery timelines. Oversee subcontractor claims, variations, and final closeout. Main Accountabilities: Ensure on-time, within-budget project delivery. Lead supplier negotiations independently. Essential skills and knowledge Requirements: Australian full working rights. Bachelor's Degree or other relevant education: Engineering, Commerce, or Business such as Construction Management, Quantity Surveyor, or Supply Chain. Previous experience leading a team. A sound understanding of the principles of contract law, business ethics, and the contractual/commercial principles adopted within the industry. A sound understanding of Project Management principles, including scope, schedule, and cost management. Good negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills in English. Relevant experience as a Subcontracts/Contracts Engineer within an EPC. Experience in procurement of oil and gas products. Understanding of SAP or Oracle. Understanding of schedules, including baselines, milestone dates, and float. Understanding of budgets. Strong negotiation skills. Leadership experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
