About the Role As a Project/Graduate Surveyor, you’ll be based primarily in our Cooma office three days a week. You can spend the remaining two days working in Canberra or the South Coast, depending on your experience and preferences. Our Registered Surveyor will mentor you, gaining hands-on experience in the field and office to support your career development. Who We’re Looking For We’re searching for an ambitious, detail-oriented surveyor who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about advancing their career. The ideal candidate will have: Experience: 3–4 years of surveying experience, preferably in NSW or a rural setting. For Certificate IV holders, 3–4 years of experience is required. For University Graduates, 1–2 years of experience is acceptable. Qualifications: Certificate IV or higher in Surveying/Spatial Science. A desire to work towards becoming a Registered Surveyor. Skills: Expertise in Robotic Total Stations and GNSS. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other surveying software. Strong communication, teamwork, and time management abilities. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. A focus on workplace health and safety (WHS). Other Requirements: A valid Class C driver’s licence. Current Police check or willing to obtain. Your Key Responsibilities Perform field-based surveys, including civil and construction set-outs, contour & detail surveys, and subdivision/boundary peg-outs. Analyse survey data, conduct property searches and perform necessary calculations. Draft plans and designs using AutoCAD and surveying software. Work closely with clients and government agencies to ensure successful project outcomes. Collaborate with our Registered Surveyor for ongoing mentorship and support.
