The Role As the Property and Procurement Manager , you will be responsible for the strategic management of the organisation's property assets, including buildings, land, and the motor vehicle fleet. You will lead the procurement process, which involves sourcing, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships. Additionally, you will ensure efficient inventory and asset control, and oversee the implementation and maintenance of procurement policies. Financial oversight will be a key part of your role, as you manage the procurement budget, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities, ensuring adherence to financial management and budgeting practices. You will also lead and mentor a small team fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Ensuring regulatory compliance for all properties and procurement activities is essential, as is building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords, tenants, service providers, and other stakeholders. About You Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and managing two direct reports, you will bring with you: A commercially-minded and pragmatic approach to property, procurement and asset management. Strong talent in negotiating contracts and building relationships with suppliers, vendors, and stakeholders. Well-developed verbal communication skills, including interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building abilities. Experience in financial management and budgeting. Knowledge and experience in property management. Understanding of asset management fundamentals. Proven experience in sourcing and negotiating contracts. At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar property management and/or procurement role (preferably with experience of both). Knowledge and understanding of the Retirement Living Act and Regulations. Possession of a current, unencumbered driver's license as travel will be required for this role. What’s in it for you?
