Provisional Psychologist / Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner Pay: Competitive Location: Corrimal/Nsw Employment type: Full-Time Job Description Req#: BMC33 The ORS Positive Behaviour Support division is expanding and we are seeking our next clinician to join us! You will join a national team of 250+ Psychologists & Counsellors providing clinical services to NDIS participants aged 0-65. You will work across early intervention, school age, adolescent and adult services with clients who have various presentations, diagnoses and disability types. You will play an integral part in their personal growth and development, working together to meet their goals. Your day to day duties will involve working with allied health practitioners, support workers and family members to achieve the best possible outcomes for your clients. You will assess and observe participants' challenging behaviours and work towards increasing skills, improving emotion regulation and introducing replacement behaviours to reduce the use of restrictive practices. Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and assessments focus on increasing a person’s quality of life including improving their skills and enhancing their independence. You will develop a plan and implement it with training and regular follow up and review. Work Life Balance The ORS executive team believes in the benefits of a healthy work life balance. Psychology Internship Program ORS funds $7,500 in annual supervision costs to complete an internship program to support employees with their supervised practice pathways to general registration as a Psychologist. Supervision is either provided in-house by an experienced and registered supervisor, or employees may find their own external supervisor, and ORS pays up to $7,500 per year. Requirements Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Counselling, Board-Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBA), Teaching, Social Work, Social Sciences, Criminology, Health Science, Allied Health or Nursing NDIS Registration as a Behaviour Practitioner (or the ability to become registered) Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex diagnoses (desirable) A car and licence A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or the ability to obtain one for a client-facing role About ORS ORS is one of the largest and fastest growing national allied health and workplace rehabilitation providers in Australia, with a proven track record for providing high quality evidence-based and client centred services for almost 30 years.
