The Department of Education in the North Queensland region is looking for Psychologists to join our school-based wellbeing teams in the Proserpine/Bowen/Cannonvale/Collinsville areas.If you are interested in becoming a part of this exciting early intervention service and making an incredible difference in the lives of young people while living and working next to pristine beaches and in beautiful communities, then this is the role for you.The Student Wellbeing Project is in place to ensure every Queensland primary and secondary state school student has access to a wellbeing professional at school. About the Role The focus of the role is to provide support for students with mild to moderate mental health concerns in the Mackay Region and across schools in the Whitsundays. Wellbeing professionals employed through the Student Wellbeing Package work as part of schools' established student support teams to enhance the wellbeing and mental health support available to students.As the Senior Psychologist/Psychologist you will: Provide psychology services directly to schools, including service delivery in specific or specialised areas of psychology practice or in response to complex school needs. Provide professional supervision, leadership, and support to psychologists within the region across the state to develop their capability and clinical skills.
