We are looking for an enthusiastic Publicist to join our Children's Campaigns team based in North Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a truly creative and collaborative environment at one of Australia's most dynamic publishers. Responsibilities include: Develop, implement, and manage innovative publicity campaigns for a range of Australian and international children's authors. Identify angles and strategies to effectively promote and publicise books and authors across all media platforms Use a broad range of communication including press releases, pitching, and content marketing. Being able to communicate, with ease, to a range of stakeholders including internal departments, authors, agents, event organisers, media, educators and international colleagues. Build and maintain strong relationships with authors Organise and manage author events and school visits with key partners, individually and as part of wider tour strategies. Set up a variety of interviews and address ad hoc requests for a range of Penguin Random House titles across the local and international lists. Represent Penguin Random House at varying events, including meetings, and presentations. You are: A creative and clear thinker with exceptional organisational skills, an ability to multitask and react quickly to opportunities. Able to manage multiple projects at one time and have a proven ability to facilitate strong relationships across a range of stakeholders. Able to identify a range of media angles applicable to a variety of mediums. Passionate about books and reading, with a strong understanding of national and regional print, broadcast, and online media. Interested in new and emerging Australian media. Proactive, enthusiastic, and able to work under pressure. This position involves working in a hybrid environment, both in the office and traveling off-site with authors to schools and bookstores.
