Python/PowerShell Developer ACT-based | Long-term Federal Government Contract Technically Challenging & Operational Role Prototype & Enhance Cutting-Edge Solutions An exciting opportunity exists for a Python/PowerShell Developer to work in a high-impact operational environment, developing and prototyping innovative solutions for critical government projects. This long-term contract involves hands-on technical work, automation, and sustaining complex capabilities. Key Responsibilities Prototype, enhance and validate new solutions to solve complex and time-sensitive challenges Develop secure and optimised Python and PowerShell code Design and maintain data pipelines, automation scripts and scalable software solutions Work alongside system administrators to install, configure and harden Windows, Linux and VMware environments Implement security best practices, including ASD Essential 8 Troubleshoot system issues, assess security risks and implement mitigation strategies Create and maintain system documentation and support procedures Technical Skills Strong experience in Python and PowerShell scripting Knowledge of client-server architectures and secure software design Experience with VMware, Windows and Linux system administration Familiarity with CI/CD, automation and orchestration tools Understanding of secure coding practices and cybersecurity principles Active NV1 clearance or higher required.
