Our new plant is unique in Australia, with the latest European technology and expanded manufacturing capacity. Key Purpose of Role We are looking for two QA Officers who will be hands-on in manufacturing, implementing all QA & Food Safety policies and procedures and ensuring adherence to all regulatory and statutory guidelines that are necessary. Your major responsibilities will include daily routine inspection, GMP audits, sample collection and analysis, records maintenance, generating Quality & Food Safety KPI reports, conducting spot QA checks, and training food handlers on all quality & food safety requirements. You will be energetic and motivated with a Food Technology background and enthusiastic to work in the Quality Assurance function. You will have the ability to work with a production team, work on non-conformances, and monitor recommended corrective & preventative actions. You will be available for an early start and weekend work when deemed necessary. Major Responsibilities Your major responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Conducting factory inspections in relation to QA, Food Safety, Legal & Regulatory, GFSI, Customer Standards, Safety & all Compliance in the manufacturing facility. Executing daily & routine QA tasks within the manufacturing facility. Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of all CCP & QCP records and be a Food Safety Champion in the manufacturing. Managing all the PRP programs in the manufacturing facility including but not limited to GMP, SSOP, SOP, Pest Control, Calibration, Maintenance, Allergen management, training management, Testing Programs, Traceability Systems, Records, and Documentation. Coordinating with Production, Management, and Maintenance teams on QA & Compliance matters. Conducting verification and validation programs for product and process changes. Investigating all quality & food safety incidents, with root cause, corrective actions, and preventative actions documented and closed within a specified time. Assisting in routine QA program & reviews, trend analysis, and being involved in routine business management reviews. Assisting during all Certification audits, 3rd Party audits, Compliance audits, and Customer visits. Assisting in product specifications and production documents to ensure compliance with food legislation, standard requirements, and customer requirements. Assisting in artwork verifications, NPD process, product launches, Recall/Withdrawal process, Audit management, Change management, and System implementation. Key Skills and Competencies A recognized tertiary qualification in Quality Assurance and/or Food Science/Technology. Understanding of HACCP quality systems. Understanding of food safety requirements. Experience in similar roles would be ideal but not essential. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good administration and organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Demonstrated time management skills, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong attention to detail.
