Why This Role is Special The Quality and Compliance Specialist role is integral to the success of Bentleys Queensland. Your Purpose: Driving Excellence Across Three Pillars Risk Collaborate with the firm's management team to identify potential risks – whether legal, commercial, or financial – as we grow and evolve. Ensure that all risks, including legislative changes, are captured in the firm's risk register and addressed with robust internal controls. Compliance Oversee our compliance with external regulatory bodies such as ASIC, TPB, ATO, and CAANZ, ensuring mandatory reporting is accurate and timely. Manage the Client Experience Team to ensure all professional and legal obligations are adhered to during client onboarding and re-engagement. Monitor, document, and report any breaches or incidents, implementing corrective actions where necessary. Quality Lead our internal audit processes to uphold both technical and non-technical standards, ensuring we meet accounting and tax regulations while maintaining client confidentiality and data security. Conduct peer reviews, technical evaluations, and file sampling across teams, providing insights and actionable recommendations for continuous improvement. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop training initiatives, ensuring our team stays ahead of industry standards and legislative changes. Liaise with external auditors for ISO certifications, ensuring compliance with the highest quality standards. About You You're a detail-oriented, proactive professional with a passion for ensuring quality and compliance. You bring: A solid background in the accounting industry, understanding the nuances of professional services. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration across teams. Your Role in Action Here's what your day-to-day might look like: Assess and refine our Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with CAANZ, ATO, TPB, ASIC, and ISO standards. Prepare mandatory reporting for regulatory bodies and manage workflows for the Client Experience Team. Monitor and address non-compliance issues, updating policies and procedures as needed. Oversee internal audits, reviewing technical and non-technical obligations to ensure best practices. Provide guidance on legislative changes and their impact, working with the Transformation Office to implement necessary policies and technology updates. Lead, mentor, and support the Client Experience Team, ensuring seamless client onboarding and re-engagement processes.
