About the role As the Quality Inspection Controller, you will be required to perform various inspection and calibration functions including, but not limited to, receiving first article and final inspections, in addition to coordinating and assisting with the resolution of quality related issues. Responsibilities Inspection of manufactured parts using various calibrated equipment required by customer standards and specifications. Promote and maintain appropriate communication through all levels of personnel within the company especially in relation to quality and processing issues. Review inspection records and verify they are properly and accurately completed. Coordinate and assist with internal training programs. Develop/review/continuously improve quality procedures and forms. Monitor and enforce compliance with Marand’s quality policies and certification systems. Calibration of measuring equipment— monitor calibration records, register and requirements. Assist Quality Manager in relation to conformance reports, remote source inspection and other duties on an as required basis. Core Competencies: Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) knowledge. Knowledge of VDMIS software will be highly regarded. Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of a variety of mechanical drawing equipment and ability to work to fine tolerances. Defence Industry knowledge or experience highly advantageous. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams a must. Basic Excel and Word Knowledge preferred. Strong knowledge and understanding of the requirements of a documented quality management system. Afternoon Shift preferred.
