Position Summary Alzheimer’s WA is seeking an experienced Quality and Internal Assurance Manager who will be responsible for ensuring that the aged care organisation maintains the highest standards of care, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role involves overseeing quality assurance programs, internal audits, risk management, and regulatory compliance to enhance client safety and service excellence. Responsibilities Develop and maintain quality assurance frameworks. Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation. Lead internal audits and quality assessments. Manage incident reporting, complaint resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives. Establish and oversee risk management policies. Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure workplace health and safety (WHS) compliance. Monitor key risk indicators and develop corrective action plans. Develop and maintain policies and procedures. Communicate and implement policies across the organisation. Provide training and guidance on compliance and quality assurance. Promote a culture of continuous improvement. Develop and coordinate staff training programmes. Monitor industry trends and emerging best practices. Engage with residents, families, and staff for feedback. Prepare reports on quality performance and compliance. Liaise with external auditors, government agencies, and accreditation bodies. Essential Criteria: Diploma/Degree required with relevant tertiary qualifications or substantial work experience (5 + years) in managing organisational quality and/or assurance systems. Strong knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, risk management, and accreditation requirements. Demonstrated experience in internal auditing, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives. Current WA Driver’s license. Working rights in Australia. Covid-19 vaccination certificate. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Offices and ability to interrogate data.
