As a Quality Manager based in Melbourne, you will plan, coordinate, and manage all program quality activities to ensure the delivery of products in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and contract specifications. You will maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS), lead continuous improvement activities, manage customer complaints, and provide quality training to staff. Additionally, you will oversee quality assurance processes for production, manage vendor and supplier quality assurance, conduct audits, and implement meaningful metrics across the company and projects. What You Need to Succeed Essential Qualifications :Quality Lead Auditor Qualified Quality Management Qualification Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) Essential Experience :Expertise in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Experience in auditing quality systems Knowledge of design, manufacturing, and installation requirements and practices Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Strong experience in Quality Assurance roles, with a strong background in working with relevant ISO standards and customer regulatory requirements Quality Management experience in a military environment Desirable Experience :Knowledge of quality engineering requirements and practices Knowledge of configuration control requirements and practices Experience in implementing improvement programs (Lean, 6S, Kaizen, etc.) Knowledge of and experience with ITAR regulations Core Skills :Strong problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to identify areas in need of improvement and implement required actions Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet deadlines This role offers the opportunity to work on a high-visibility project within a leading defence organisation.
