Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Technical QA Lead who excels in both manual and automation testing methodologies. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership qualities to effectively manage a team of QA engineers and ensure the quality and timely delivery of our software products.This is a Sydney based role and 2 days (Monday + Thursdays) will be based in our Sydney CBD office. What the role will involve: Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring their professional growth and development. Coordinate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to prioritise testing activities and resolve issues. Testing Strategy and Execution: Design and implement robust test strategies for both manual and automated testing processes. Oversee the creation and execution of test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements. Drive the adoption of automation frameworks and tools to optimise testing efficiency and effectiveness. Conduct thorough regression testing when necessary to validate software quality and stability. Hands-on involvement in testing activities, including complex scenarios and troubleshooting. Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to QA and testing. Evaluate and recommend testing tools and frameworks that align with project requirements. Qualifications We'd love to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Proven experience (5 years) as a QA Engineer or similar role, with a focus on both manual and automated testing. Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team. In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium and Java. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
