As our Quality and Compliance Manager, you'll be at the heart of ensuring top-notch product quality, spearheading CSR initiatives, and maintaining compliance with third-party regulations for our proudly 50% Indigenous-owned company. What You'll Do: Lead and inspire teams to uphold the highest standards of quality. Drive meaningful CSR projects that make a real difference. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. What We Need: Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities: Quality Assurance Oversee our quality system across multiple manufacturing sites. Build quality into existing and new product manufacture. Implement, check and track quality control programs to meet production objectives. CSR Management: Lead and implement company CSR initiatives and activities in the direct workplace and throughout supply chains. Oversee and maintain third party CSR certifications including organic, UEBT, Eco Vadis and Sedex. Ensure all necessary documentation and records are maintained to support certification requirements. Liaise with certification bodies and auditors to schedule and facilitate audits. Compliance and Documentation: Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure they align with industry regulations and company standards. Document reviews and updates. Non-conformance management and corrective actions. Conduct internal and external audits to verify compliance with certification standards and industry regulations. Develop and maintain an organized system for tracking and managing certification-related documentation. Ensure timely renewal of certifications and submit necessary paperwork. Support manufacturing and sales with document management and review. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact on certification activities for external stakeholders, including suppliers, certification bodies, auditors, Indigenous groups, philanthropic organizations, and regulatory agencies. Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and provide responses to stakeholder inquiries. Training and Education: Conduct training sessions on certification standards and best practices. Keep the team informed about any changes or updates in certification requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvement in relation to quality and certification compliance. Recommend and implement changes to streamline quality and certification-related activities in manufacturing and supply chains. Supplier and Vendor Engagement: Communicate certification requirements to suppliers and/or partners and ensure their compliance. Review and approve supplier documentation related to certification standards. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit required reports or documents to regulatory agencies, certification bodies, management, and customers. Maintain accurate records of certification-related activities and reports. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with all departments (production, quality control, procurement, sales) to ensure alignment with certification standards. Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide guidance on certification-related matters. Skills, Expertise, and Knowledge: Proven experience with managing manufacturing quality assurance e.g. HACCP, ISO 9001. Experience with cosmetics regulations is highly valued. Knowledge and interest in environmental and social responsibility. Experience in certification management, and/or environmental management tracking. Strong attention to detail and process driven. Understanding of Indigenous-owned business operations and/or cultural sensitivities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail. The ability to use Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) effectively as communication and work management tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Adaptive mindset, staying flexible and resilient. Embrace problem solving by being solutions driven. Additional Information: Position Type: Full or part time with some flexibility in working hours. Location: Be part of a collaborative team environment Osborne Park, Perth. Travel: Occasional travel will be required for audits, project review and stakeholder meetings.
