The Company Opportunity to join a well-established, leading Australian-owned food manufacturer of premium products with several well-loved brands in their portfolio. They have production facilities across Australia and supply to the major retailers, including the two biggest nationally as well as local and independents. The business is growing and committed to fostering a strong team environment with career development opportunities.The Role This role will manage Quality & Safety of two sites in Perth, 1 in the eastern suburbs and 1 in the western. Running and supporting the day-to-day production and facilities from a Quality and Safety perspective and maintaining systems. This will mainly focus on quality, with responsibilities on safety requirements focusing more on maintenance and continuous improvement on the ground level where needed.Responsibilities include: Oversee Quality & Safety Compliance, ensuring all products meet food safety, quality, regulatory, legislative and customer standards across production facilities. Maintain both Quality & Safety management systems, implementing continuous improvement at site level if necessary. Conduct internal audits, lead HACCP team meetings, and prepare for third-party and customer audits. Provide induction training, Critical Control Point (CCP) and Quality & Food Safety (Q&FS) training. Manage Approved Supplier programs and ensure verification schedules are met. Investigate and follow up on customer complaints and non-conformances, effectively completing and closing out NCR’s. Similarly, any safety incidents will be investigated and appropriate actions taken with the support of the National Quality & Safety Manager. Ensure monthly safety meetings and weekly safety walks are completed, promoting a strong safety culture. Monitor performance by tracking and reporting on key metrics via site Safety & Quality Dashboards. Work with the Site Operations Manager to drive a positive culture around quality and health & safety. Your Background In order to be successful in this role, you will: Degree in food science or equivalent Minimum 5 years quality experience in food manufacturing or an FMCG environment External HACCP training, Principles and Applications Experience using online systems and platforms Strong leadership and influencing skills Meat background required What's on Offer?
