ID: 238058 Job Type: Full-time What to Expect: The Quantity Surveyor role is a market first in Tesla’s utility-scale project sales and business development team, and is responsible for supporting all pre-contract commercial activities, acting as the main point of contact for managing Tesla’s estimating and project controls data for Megapack BESS projects. The successful candidate will help Tesla determine project cost and timing estimates, using both internal and wider market data points, for large-scale BESS projects across multiple APAC countries. This role will be involved at the project feasibility stage, will be key to demonstrating Tesla’s value to our customers, and will additionally focus on driving continuous improvement in all related processes. What You’ll Do: Support and coordinate the development of concept layouts and preliminary designs on both EPC and 'Equipment Only' projects. Develop an in-depth understanding of Tesla’s utility product and work to continuously improve how to deploy it faster and more cost efficiently. Support the bid process and be involved at the pre-contract stage for EPC projects. Communicate with a range of stakeholders internally (sales, engineering, deployment, and procurement) and externally (Tesla’s customers). What You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering (preferably civil). 3+ years’ experience in construction projects in a similar position. Good understanding of project controls (cost and schedule), Primavera P6 or equivalent. Good understanding of AutoCAD or other drafting software. Ability to review a BOM BOQ and put together robust cost tools to make data easy to interpret. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Experience with fast-paced organisations and ability to prioritise and execute many projects and tasks in parallel. MRICS accreditation preferred. Renewables experience preferred. Knowledge of constructability, engineering fundamentals, HV substations is a plus. Some interstate travel may be required.
