About The Role We have an opportunity for an experienced R&D Technologist to contribute to the development of new products and the maintenance of existing products in terms of functionality, quality, nutrition, regulatory compliance, and cost. You will lead the provision of food regulatory advice in Australia / New Zealand and support maintenance, management, and continuous improvement of our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.This is a 12-month fixed term contract where you will gain exposure to various facets of the business including product development, product lifecycle and regulatory affairs. Key Responsibilities Include: Support development of new products, value engineering of existing product, tender process &/or change of suppliers, shelf-life testing and support capital projects. Compliance to development processes & ensures regulatory constraints/opportunities are considered when developing products. Communication - timely communication with all business stakeholders and co-manufacturer with clear message of project timelines, key milestones and risk mitigation. Lead provision of food regulatory advice for Australia / New Zealand. Management & administration of PLM system. About You You are process driven with strong technical capabilities and high attention to detail. You have an analytical but innovative approach to your work and to problem solving. With solid communication and interpersonal skills, you are able to effectively relate and communicate to people at all levels. You Will Also Have: 3+ years’ experience in an R&D related environment within the Food Industry. In depth understanding of Australian / New Zealand food regulations, and understanding of Food Industry requirements (AFGC PIF, FSANZ). Experience in Product Development/ Regulatory/ Quality/ PLM System management. B.Sc Food Science or similar is essential.
