REGULATORY COMPLIANCE MANAGER - (12-Month Maternity Leave Cover) Join Our Team as a Regulatory Compliance Manager (12-Month Maternity Leave Cover) Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for food safety and compliance management? We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Manager to lead our regulatory compliance efforts in a dynamic food manufacturing environment. This is a key leadership role ensuring our products meet all regulatory, customer, and food safety standards while driving a strong culture of compliance within the organisation. About the Role Suprima Bakeries , a proud member of the Prima Group, is on the cutting edge of automated baking technology, operating a state-of-the-art plant in MINTO. Specialising in frozen dough products, we serve a wide array of clients, from supermarket bakeries to quick-service restaurants and large distributors. Our facility boasts an advanced automated frozen warehouse and the latest in baking technology. As the Regulatory Compliance Manager , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing product specifications, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance programs. You will be responsible for ensuring our business aligns with all legal and industry requirements, proactively identifying risks, and implementing best practices in food safety and environmental sustainability. This is a 12-month part-time role (3 flexible working days). Key Responsibilities Ensure full compliance with the latest regulatory guidelines for food supply, labelling, and safety. Stay updated on industry trends and food safety incidents, evaluating business risks and implementing preventive measures. Maintain and update product specifications, aligning with customer and legislative requirements. Support the Product & Process Development Manager and Sales team by providing technical guidance for reformulations. Oversee ingredient sourcing to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and sustainability standards. Drive and maintain an Environmental & Biodiversity Management Plan. Act as an SQF Practitioner backup, ensuring compliance with SQF, HACCP, and other quality standards. Foster a strong Food Safety & Quality culture across the site. Conduct and support internal audits, including GMP audits, and coordinate corrective actions. Collaborate with customers and suppliers to ensure regulatory and quality compliance. Play an active role in third-party and customer audits, ensuring continuous certification and compliance. Lead TACCP and VACCP risk assessments for raw and packaging materials. Take immediate action on non-compliance, with the authority to place products on hold if necessary. Attend and contribute to Quality meetings and management reviews. Key Qualifications & Experience A BSc in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field is preferred. Certification in HACCP Principles & Awareness, SQF, FSSC, or BRC systems. Experience in internal audits and food safety compliance. A minimum of 10 years in food manufacturing and quality management. Strong understanding of food labelling regulations and ingredient compliance. Proven ability to develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs. Experience with corrective action processes, risk management, and audit coordination. Strong leadership skills to drive compliance culture across all levels of the organisation. Why Join Us?
