About the Role An internal secondment has meant we are seeking a full-time Radiation Therapy Manager for our Icon Cancer Centre at Epworth Geelong. You will lead and manage the Radiation Therapy (RT) workforce, ensuring operational excellence, team development, and exceptional patient care. Reporting to the Site Manager, this role requires 76 hours per fortnight over a 9-day fortnight. This is a 12-Month Contract position. Key Responsibilities Provide effective leadership and management to the Radiation Therapy team. Maintain the highest standards of service quality and patient experience. Facilitate training and professional development for Radiation Therapists. Optimize workflow management to enhance efficiency and productivity. Support change initiatives and implement process improvements. Oversee operational functions, including staffing and equipment management. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Represent the RT department in national meetings and working groups. Expertise in managing healthcare operations, including relationships with VMOs. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to foster trust and collaboration. Comprehensive clinical knowledge and commitment to high-quality care. Familiarity with private healthcare models, including Medicare billing. Ability to educate and mentor a team effectively. Experience in developing and monitoring clinical protocols. Capacity to identify and implement service improvements. Qualifications Essential : Tertiary qualification in Radiation Therapy. Current registration with MRPBA (AHPRA). Valid Radiation Use License (VIC). Desirable : Membership in professional bodies (e.g., ESTRO, ASTRO, ASMIRT, TROG). Post-graduate qualification in Health, Management, or Leadership (or currently pursuing).
