An exciting opportunity exists for a Public Health Nurse Communicable Disease to provide coordination, expertise and support to health care providers and the community in the Sunshine Coast Health region with key priorities including: Provision of expert advice and support to health care professionals and the public on communicable disease control. Participation in and supporting enhanced surveillance and investigation of notifiable and non-notifiable diseases in accordance with national and state guidelines. Investigation and management of outbreaks in childcare centres, residential aged care facilities and other agencies as required. Delivery of education programs to key stakeholders in the Sunshine Coast Health region. To be the clinical resource for Clinical Nurses within Communicable Disease, regarding complicated public health follow-up, conditions involving complex health needs such as pregnancy, immunodeficiency/suppression. Maintain data integrity and confidentiality of Queensland Health Notifiable Conditions Systems (NOCS) and Australian Immunisation Register (AIR). Ensure practice is evidence-based to facilitate positive outcomes for the individual, community, and population. Provide expert, timely information, advice and education on communicable disease prevention and control, including immunisation, and other relevant public health issues to a variety of health practitioners, other key stakeholders, and the community. Remuneration value up to $13 684 p.m., comprising salary between $5081.10- $5516.60 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 7) (Fixed-Term Temporary Full-Time position, 76hrs p.f. 24th March-4th May 2025.).
