Job Description
We are seeking an experienced React developer to assist with our ongoing application development. Our application utilizes multiple React contexts for state management, and we are currently facing challenges with excessive rerenders that are affecting performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of React's context API and performance optimization techniques. Your role will involve diagnosing the rerender issues and implementing appropriate solutions to enhance our app's efficiency. We are looking for someone who can stick strictly to deliverables, can communicate well in English, and is available to do the work over the next month or two. We estimate this to be 3 - 5 days of work, but success on this task will lead to a long pipeline of future work as this project is ongoing and has multiple customers already. For more information, the app is the frontend for a database of places and associated media. The app uses MapLibre / Mapbox and MaterialUI.
