MBM is a national independent Australian owned property consultancy providing Quantity Surveying, Building Consultancy, Tax & Asset Services, PPP Advisory, Infrastructure, Facilities Management Advisory and Expert Witness services. Due to the continued growth of our Sydney office, we are currently seeking a Receipting & Accounts Payable Officer to join our team. This is a busy and fast-paced role that will require prioritising requests to ensure all tasks are completed by their deadlines. Reporting to the Executive Manager Finance, the successful candidate will work to provide support to various revenue hubs within the company. Purpose of Position: Reporting to the Executive Manager Finance, the Receipting & Accounts Payable Officer takes on a hybrid role of Accounts Receivable receipting and general Accounts Payable. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable Receipting Process all customer payments and deposits accurately and in a timely manner Ensure that all payments are applied to the appropriate invoices or customer accounts Update the Accounts Receivable master file with changes in the status of invoices Accounts Payable End-to-end accounts payable functions including, but not limited to: Supplier record maintenance in our finance system (new suppliers, changes to existing suppliers etc.) Responsibility for the coding and processing of invoices Electronic storage of invoices in a logical manner Emailing of remittances Selection of payments to be included in the weekly payment runs and the preparation of the payment run Reconciliation of supplier statements Assisting with the bank reconciliation as required Completion of supplier credit applications Managing the Accounts Payable email inbox and responding to suppliers Chasing, entering and payment of staff expenses as scheduled Qualifications and Skills: Strong attention to detail Proficiency in MYOB (highly regarded) Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel Intermediate skills with MS Outlook Excellent verbal and written communication skills Constructive engagement with staff and suppliers, fostering positive interactions and confidence in the finance department’s output What We Offer: An opportunity to grow professionally in a supportive and stimulating work environment.
