If you are organised, have an eye for detail, are able to manage a wide range of administrative and operational tasks, and you enjoy interacting and working collaboratively with others, this might be the role for you!The Key Duties Of The Position Include APS4/5 Recruitment Officers Reporting to the Recruitment Team Leader, Recruitment Officers will be responsible for coordinating the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities including assessment of vacancies, advertising, selection, candidate tracking, pre-employment checks and monitoring conditions of engagement, contract preparation, all whilst ensuring a smooth onboarding/candidate experience.Skills The position requires excellent organisational skills and prior APS-recruitment experience would be highly advantageous. Our ideal applicant will be a strong team player with a customer service focus, and someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where each day may present opportunities to learn. You will be responsible for prioritising your own workload, making sound judgements and providing accurate recruitment advice to internal and external stakeholders. Duties include: Provide timely and accurate recruitment advice and support to an Operations Manager and Director for their responsible cluster of hostels. Coordinate and process the end-to-end recruitment activities for your AHL vacancies, including drafting and placing advertisements, collating applications, preparing shortlists and selection reports, scheduling interviews, participating on selection panels, obtaining referee reports and coordinating outcome notifications. Manage onboarding requirements for candidates, including the processing of pre-employment checks (medical/police clearances, Working with Children Checks and mandatory qualifications). Prepare and issue engagement letters, including extension notices, employment variations, promotions and transfer letters. Prepare personnel files for new employees and ensuring a timely transfer to AHL payroll team. Respond to a wide range of applicant and internal stakeholder inquiries through shared mailboxes and telephone lines. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to meet priorities and established deadlines. Contribute to recruitment processes, including identifying and implementing areas for continuous improvement. Accurately maintain HR records by updating relevant databases and systems with candidate/employee information. Note: AHL does not currently have an e-recruit system, this role involves a lot of manual processing. Provide weekly updates on recruitment activities to business areas. Other duties as directed. For new APS employees, a six-month probationary period will apply.
