About the Casual Eligibility List The Casual Eligibility List is open for eligible candidates to register an Expression of Interest (EoI) for casual employment with the School of Humanities and Communication Arts at Western Sydney University. The eligibility list enables the School to access suitable and experienced individuals for casual employment opportunities across a broad range of business areas at short notice, subject to the following: You will be engaged as and when required, and on an ad hoc and/or intermittent basis. The University does not guarantee the provision of ongoing or regular employment, and makes no firm advance commitment to continuing or indefinite work. The Opportunity Western's School of Humanities and Communication Arts is seeking highly motivated, adaptable individuals with a wide range of expertise and transferable skill sets to work collaboratively to deliver quality lectures and tutorials in classroom, facilitate online learning, undertake assessment marking, and provide academic support for the students and the teaching team to which they are assigned. We are looking for Casual Academics to contribute to our Bachelor of Arts Core and Majors Programs. This includes areas such as: Arabic Childhood Studies Creative Writing Culture and Society Drama English History and Political Thought International Relations and Asian Studies Philosophy Eligibility To be eligible for casual employment, applicants must meet the below criteria: Relevant undergraduate/postgraduate qualification in the Arts, including History, English, Philosophy, Creative Writing, Culture and Society, Indigenous Studies. Relevant industrial and/or commercial experience in one or more of the relevant areas. Demonstrated experience in quality and innovative teaching at tertiary level, including ability to facilitate learning in small and large groups. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication to tailor to various stakeholders throughout the University.
