JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services. The Global Emergency Solutions Specialist will oversee the management and coordination of urgent cargo transportation across a diverse range of commodities, serving all our global industrial verticals and beyond. The primary mode of transport will be airfreight, often requiring seamless integration with pre-carriage and on-forwarding solutions. In this role, the Specialist must ensure timely quotation, pick up, delivery and maintain exceptional customer satisfaction, requiring a deep understanding of global logistics, airfreight operations, and the capability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The focused products will be “NFO -Next Flight Out”, “OBC – On Board Courier” and “SCH – Small Charter” Solutions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Providing a tailored transportation solution based on the customers’ requirements. Ensure the seamless execution of time-critical airfreight shipments, from initial booking to final delivery, maintaining strict adherence to timelines and client specifications. Continuously track the status of all active shipments to provide real-time updates as well as pro-actively identify upcoming issues during the transport chain and execute corrective actions to ensure safe and timely delivery of the cargo. Act as the primary point of contact for customers. Prepare and verify all necessary shipping documents, including airwaybills and documents provided by the customer. Collaborate closely with countries and branches while working in a regional function. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Able to read, analyze, and interpret moderate to complex business correspondence in English. Strong understanding of logistics, pricing structures and market dynamics. Excellent communication and writing skills. Exhibits a high level of self-motivation, taking initiative to meet and exceed job expectations without constant supervision. Detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines. Excellent organizational skills. Able to interact positively and effectively with co-workers, subordinates, and supervisors. Willing and able to work in shifts over the weekend. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: This role requires the ability to work in and access airfreight-secured environments, in accordance with the regulations of the country where the employee is based. TECHNICAL SKILLS: MS ExcelProficient in data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management. MS Word & PowerPointCapable of creating and editing documents and presentations. CargoWiseProficient in using CargoWise for freight forwarding operations & financial entries. WebcargonetProficient in using Webcargonet. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of operational airfreight experience.
