We are seeking a dynamic Regional Financial Controller to oversee the financial and accounting functions at EDMI Pty Ltd, with support for EDMI Gas Pty Ltd and EDMI NZ Ltd. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring compliance with IFRS accounting standards and company policies, while delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to team management. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and possess a deep commitment to maintaining high standards of financial integrity and compliance. In this role you will: Manage and lead the ANZ Finance team, ensuring cohesive and collaborative work dynamics. Lead and oversee financial operations and adherence to IFRS accounting standards and company policies with an insistence on clear governance and compliance. Prepare and present accurate financial reports and statutory returns. Collaborate with global offices to support financial objectives and processes locally and globally. Serve as a key point of contact for financial audits and intercompany accounting matters. Be a hands-on leader with a passion for developing and evolving your team's capability. Build risk and compliance capabilities including basic legal knowledge for project management and monitoring. Partner with the Executive Director of ANZ to develop business strategies for regional expansion, including M&A opportunities. Be the 2IC to Financial Director APAC, providing advice and guidance on the finance function and people management. Oversee intercompany account matters and be involved in statutory tax reporting. To be successful in this role you will: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification and hold CPA Membership (required). Have at least five years of full-time industry experience in accounting, including staff management. Demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills. Possess a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software. Exhibit clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team environment. Show a proactive attitude towards enforcing process and policy compliance. Have strong working SAP experience and understand working in multiple currencies, transfer pricing, Tax and treasury. Demonstrate strong collaboration skills to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes across the business. Have hands-on experience of ERP systems, flows and processes and how they deliver a high level of accurate governance, results and data. Have large company experience. Have strong inventory knowledge and experience overseeing payroll. Be proactive and passionate about delivering continual improvement. Be a clear and effective communicator with the ability to explain concepts across various areas of the business.
