Overview Consider joining the Pennex family as a Regional Sales Manager supporting our Wellsville, PA location. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for all sales activity in the assigned territory to meet or exceed revenue and margin forecasts. This position is responsible for working with the OEMs, end users, and distributors to develop long-term, profitable business with targeted accounts. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for identifying technical, product, and service support requirements necessary to delight the customer and grow the business. This is a remote position but must reside in the sales territory of the mid-Atlantic/New England, with a preference for candidates in NJ or PA. Responsibilities Maintain and expand the current customer base by providing outstanding customer service and support, developing relationships with key customers, and identifying additional opportunities within the current group of customers. Grow the customer base by actively prospecting, identifying, and closing new customers within the territory that align with Pennex’s core competencies and sales plan. Responsible for the region’s forecasting and sales tracking activities. Achieve annual sales forecasts, goals, and objectives by implementing a territory sales plan and related key customer account plans. Assist in meeting and exceeding established Pennex MAPs and KRAs. Work efficiently with production, quality, technical, and customer sales support teams to meet customer expectations. Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information to identify trends that affect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability. Attend relevant trade shows in the region. Conduct sales activities in alignment with the Company’s defined market strategy and values (Respect, Integrity, Drive Safety), and comply with established Company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. Experience 3 or more years of outside sales experience in an extrusion or similar manufacturing environment, including fabrication and large press. Ability to multitask. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, or CAD drawings and procedure manuals. Familiarity with basic metal fabrication techniques and processes. Thorough understanding of the extrusion process and capabilities. Commitment to excellence. Critical thinking skills. Strong communication skills. Problem-solving skills. Travel is required within the assigned territory, with overnight travel potentially exceeding 50%. Basic computer skills. Must be able to pass pre-employment background, physical, and drug screening.
