We have multiple exciting vacancies on offer!This role offers Registered Midwives the chance to support and care for women throughout pregnancy, labour, and the postpartum period, while independently conducting births and caring for newborns and infants. Rockhampton Hospital is the main referral hospital in Central Queensland (CQ). The Maternity Service at the Rockhampton Hospital is the main birthing hub for Central Queensland and caters for approximately 1400 births annually. It provides a level 4 maternity service including: The Antenatal Clinic offers outpatient antenatal care and education. The Antenatal/Postnatal 15 bed ward offers inpatient care and maternity assessment unit. The 5 bed Birth Suite offers care during birth and high dependency care. The level 4 Special Care Nursery offers medium to high dependency care to neonates. There is a strong focus on interdisciplinary care planning and networking with community agencies. The midwifery group practice provides care for women within an all-risk model of continuity. About the role: This role provides opportunity for a Registered Midwife (RM), in partnership with women, to give support, care and advice during pregnancy, labour and the postpartum period, to conduct births on the registered midwife's own responsibility and to provide care for the newborn and the infant. About you: Registration as a Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position. While not mandatory, being able to work to full scope of midwifery practice would be well regarded. Demonstrate midwifery knowledge and skills to competently assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. Demonstrate use of evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement in care. Demonstrate ability and motivation to continually progress own competency along the continuum from novice to advanced. What we offer: Total remuneration value of up to $121,106 is comprised of: An hourly rate between $41.73 - $53.53 p.h. A casual hourly rate between $51.33 - $54.84 p.h.
