Your Role As a Registered Nurse, you are at the heart of ensuring the health, dignity, and well-being of residents in an aged care facility. Your role is vital in fostering a safe, nurturing environment where residents feel cared for and valued. Specifically, you will: Assess, plan, and deliver care: Your clinical expertise ensures residents receive individualized, high-quality care that enhances their quality of life. You’ll identify their unique needs, tailor care plans, and make a tangible difference every day. Collaborate with care teams: Effective communication and teamwork are essential to providing seamless, holistic care. You’ll work closely with personal care workers, support staff, and allied health professionals to achieve the best outcomes for residents. Maintain compliance with standards: Your commitment to upholding accreditation and quality standards helps ensure that the care provided aligns with best practices and regulatory requirements, safeguarding both residents and staff. The Importance of Your Role In an aged care setting, Registered Nurses are more than healthcare providers—they are advocates, leaders, and sources of comfort for residents and their families. You’ll play a critical role in: Supporting residents’ physical and emotional well-being. Managing complex health conditions and preventing complications. Providing leadership and guidance to other staff, fostering a culture of excellence and compassion. About You To excel in this role, you bring a blend of clinical competence, compassion, and adaptability. Your dedication to resident-centered care and your ability to work collaboratively will empower you to succeed. Your experience, qualifications and availability for the role should include: MUST be available for weekday shifts from Monday to Friday, 7am – 3pm, and there is some weekend work, flexible to work across 7-day roster covering Morning, Afternoon, and Night shift, sick leave and annual leave support positions. Part-time hour shifts, 30 - 75 hours per fortnight. Current AHPRA registration: Ensures you are qualified and meet the professional standards to provide nursing care in Australia. CPR certification: Demonstrates your readiness to respond to emergencies effectively. 12 months relevant experience in aged care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care. A National Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check or ability to acquire.
