You will need : A passion for great rural and remote healthcare Working knowledge or the willingness to learn aged care standards and care delivery A willingness to experience and thrive in a remote community with remote challenges Flinders Island Multipurpose Centre, Tasmanian Health Service, Primary Health North The Flinders Island Multi-Purpose Centre comprises nine aged care beds, five acute beds, an Outpatient and Emergency service, physiotherapy, x-ray, podiatry / footcare, and visiting services. It is one of 8 district hospitals working together to form part of primary health north Tasmania. The FIMPC offers health services to the island community of approximately 900 people utilising the RFDS retrieval for tertiary hospital needs to the Launceston General. Details of appointment : Multiple permanent, full-time and part-time shift worker positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you are available to join the team. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies. Salary : $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. You’ll have access to a salary package and a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available : Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type. District Allowances of up to $4,618 per annum for a family. Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of $3,699 per annum and an additional salary allowance of 10%. Benefits available to eligible candidates : Travel and relocation assistance support available for eligible appointees. Professional development and accelerated pathways. Excellent leave benefits : 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible. Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria : Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse. Registration / licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
