The Royal Children’s Hospital’s (RCH) Vision is “A world where all kids thrive”. RCH is a cornerstone member of the Melbourne Children’s Campus, partnering with Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics and The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation. RCH has cared for the children and young people of Victoria for more than 150 years since it was founded in 1870. A full range of paediatrics and adolescent health services are provided plus tertiary and quaternary care for the most critically ill and medically complex patients in Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and other states around Australia and overseas. The Hospital has more than 6,000 staff, a budget of $850M, 12 wards and 350 beds. Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries. The Role This role is a fixed term full-time position within the Day Cancer Centre (DCC), ending Dec 2025, where you will be responsible for ensuring that clinical practice and delivery of care is consistent with RCH and Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board standards. You will provide comprehensive, safe, evidence-based practice to facilitate optimal health outcomes for our patients. This opportunity within the DCC will use your integrated health care knowledge and skills to provide safe and effective care. What you’ll achieve: Fulfil duty of care by practicing within scope of practice in accordance with Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board guidelines Demonstrate your analytical skills in assessing and evaluating health information Participate in quality improvement activities Plan nursing care in consultation with others (i.e. multidisciplinary health care team) Classification for this position ranges from YP3 - YP9 ($71,333.60 to $95,378.40 per annum plus superannuation). This role is located at The Royal Children's Hospital, 50 Flemington Road, Parkville.
