What you will be doing in this role Join our dedicated team of emergency care specialists and nursing staff as a casual Registered Nurse caring for a wide variety of presentations including cardiac, neuro, paediatric, sporting injuries, respiratory, wounds and more. The Emergency Centre is fast-paced, challenging but a rewarding environment. Reporting to our highly experienced and supportive Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), you will assess, plan, evaluate and deliver holistic nursing care in accordance with the National competency Standards and Adventist HealthCare policies and procedures. We will set you up for success in this role, by ensuring you have a detailed orientation and new starter training program as well as offering you ongoing support from our dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator. This is a casual position, and the successful candidate will have flexible availability to work a range of 8, 10 and 12-hour shifts across morning, afternoons and nights. Who we’re looking for You’ll hold current AHPRA rego with a minimum of 3 years of experience within an Emergency or Critical Care setting (Must have) You’ll have the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have strong time management skills You’ll have demonstrated elevated level of empathy and strong emotional intelligence You’ll be an exceptional communicator (both verbally and written) with demonstrated experience professionally communicating with patients, their families and colleagues.
