An exciting opportunity is now available for a Registered Nurse to join the Katoomba Mental Health Team in a Permanent part-time role. In this imperative role, you will ensure provision of nursing care and comprehensive clinical mental health services to people with a mental illness or a mental disorder. The team aims to provide care that is least intrusive, collaborative, recovery-oriented, encompassing a nominated carer and family responsive and inclusive, rehabilitative, evidence-based practice to encourage self-advocacy and facilitate empowerment and capacity for optimal independent function. What You Will Bring To The Role Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) - Completion of New Graduate Program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse. Demonstrated skills in mental health and mental health nursing assessments and interventions and experience working with people with mental illness. Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision. Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act, 2007. Demonstrated excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and good interpersonal skills. Computer competence and literacy. Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
