About The Role The Registered Nurse position is based in our Mobile Assertive Treatment Team at Camperdown Community Mental Health Service. The Mobile Assertive Treatment Team is a small and supportive multidisciplinary team of registered nurses, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, a psychiatry registrar and psychiatrist. The Mobile Assertive Treatment Team covers the Camperdown, Marrickville and Redfern catchment areas.The Mobile Assertive Treatment Team is a person-centred, recovery-focused mental health service that provides intensive, community-based care to individuals with severe and persistent mental health conditions. The Mobile Assertive Treatment Team at Camperdown delivers personalised support to clients who may face challenges accessing traditional clinic-based services, by meeting them in their homes or local community settings.As a Registered Nurse on the team, you'll play a key role in providing holistic care and support, including mental health assessments, medication management, crisis intervention, and health education. You'll work closely with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team to promote recovery, enhance the quality of life for clients, and help them live independently in the community. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of people who require a more flexible and personalised approach to mental health care.The Mental Health Nurse will practice in keeping with the standardised Sydney LHD position description for the profession in addition to this position description.Ideal Candidate Current nursing registration with AHPRA. Demonstrated competencies to provide contemporary mental health practice. Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable). Ability to work on a 7 day rotating roster.
