Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced cancer nurses to join the Oncology and Medical Unit team at Northern Health. The Role: RN - Oncology and Medical Day Unit Permanent Part Time hours 48 hours per fortnight An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Oncology and Medical Day Unit team at Northern Health. The Oncology and Medical Day Unit is located at Northern Hospital, comprising of 17 chairs and our SURC clinic, as well as our Infusion Centre, which has 9 chairs located at Epping Private. This includes delivering blood product transfusions, iron infusions and some immunotherapy and monoclonal antibodies. This role also has the opportunity to rotate to our program (delivering chemotherapy at home). This role requires an experienced oncology nurse to work a rotating roster between our Oncology and Medical Day Unit, delivering chemotherapy, complex medical infusions and supportive care to patients. To be successful in this role you will have: Experience and good working knowledge of caring for complex cancer patients Proven ability to safely administer chemotherapy in a Day Unit setting Completed ADAC training Competent in CVAD care and IVC insertion Excellent communication and time management skills Ability to work in a progressive multidisciplinary team Post Graduate Certificate in Cancer Nursing is desirable Next Steps: If this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, then we would love to hear from you.
