Mater Private Hospital Mackay has been providing excellence in clinical and pastoral care to the people of Mackay and surrounds since 1915. Located in the leafy suburb of The Range, our Hospital is a modern 136-bed facility featuring five operating theatres, a fully equipped day surgery unit, Maternity, a private emergency center, and a wide range of specialist clinical services. Our Registered Nurses provide evidence-based and contemporary patient-centered clinical care in collaboration with other multidisciplinary healthcare team members. The delivery of care extends to patient advocacy with particular consideration to patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs that contribute to optimal clinical outcomes. Registered Nurses are responsible for ensuring safe and efficient care management within the scope of practice and professional guidelines, including legislation, regulations, standards, codes, qualifications, registration, and clinical competencies.
