The Role: We are currently looking for a qualified Registered Nurse currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and at least one full year of nursing experience. The Registered Nurse performs reception screening and comprehensive health assessments on persons received into custody whilst assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing management. Our Location: The Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre (MRRC) is a maximum-security correctional facility for male offenders and the primary reception centre in the Sydney Metropolitan Region. Those who arrive at the MRRC typically: Come directly from court on remand Stay while they attend court in the Sydney Metropolitan Area (before returning to their home centre) Stay while they wait for a vacancy at a centre that matches their classification. Most leave the centre within a few months, typically because they obtain bail (and release) or transfer to a centre that matches their classification.
